All  my adult life, about four decades,  I've been an actor, writer, director and teacher.  So I've had a fair amount of time to learn, often the hard way, how to navigate what I've come to think of as a river of creativity. I find immense satisfaction when I'm able to guide people into their own creative and expressive landscape

whether you are

  • a professional who needs help with a particular challenge

  • a passionate amateur who is ready to blossom or

  • a beginner who needs a safe place and a nurturing guide  to finally begin honoring your own creative vision.

I work privately and in groups with
an array of processes to help you:

  •  disarm your inner-critic

  •  transform judgment into compassion

  •  value your own lived experience as a prime source of creativity

  • become a comfortable inhabitant of your own skin

  •  explore embodied imagination – support your creativity through movement and awareness

  •  discover  the stories you have to tell and find the form in which to tell them.

  •  move past stagefright and share your story with strength and confidence

  • establish a creative practice that fits within the other demands on your time.

  •  integrate spirit, soul and creativity

For professional-level writers, actors and solo performers,
I also offer:

  • structural or line editing

  • coaching

  • marketing guidance.

  • dramaturgy and staging

  • voice, movement and improvisation

I welcome the chance to work with writers, actors, dancers, visual artists, storytellers, comedians, teachers – and anyone who wants to explore their unvoiced, hidden, or flowering creativity. Whether you want to create a solo performance, a short-story, a song-cycle, a mural, a novel, a dance, or a memoir, I will be honored to guide you.

To find out more or to arrange private sessions, email me at corey@coreyfischer.com or call 415 596-3433.

For Authors and Others

For writers – new or experienced – who need support at any point along the long and arduous path toward book publication, I will partner with my wife, China Galland, award winning author of Love Cemetery (HarperOne, 2007)  and Longing for Darkness (Penguin, 2007) to offer

a full-service authors’ support system

We can:

  • Guide you in the process of shaping an idea or an impulse into a complete book proposal

  • Help you submit a proposal or manuscript to agents and publishers

  • Offer strategies for moving past “blocks,”  and disarming the inner critic and the premature editor

  • Work as supportive editors, helping you to refine, tune and polish a first draft

  • Offer counsel on forming a “right relationship” with a publisher, publicist or agent.

  • Consult on and/or provide internet marketing strategy and implementation

To arrange a consultation with Corey and China, use the same contact info: (415. 596. 3433) or email.

At the moment, I have no classes or workshops scheduled. But  I am available to teach private and group sessions on imprrovisation or solo autobiographical theatre  on request.

You can reach me  by phone (415.596.3433) or email.
