The Creative Moment

a workshop with

corey fischer

The last three of these Sunday afternoon workshops have been such happy gatherings that I'm continuing to offer them.

A delightfully diverse, consistently changeable group have been moving, writing, sounding, listening and watching each other transform themselves, the space and each other at each one

As someone who's been engaged in creativity for the last forty years or so, finding my way down and into that molten core where creative impulses start to flow I'm deeply gratified to be able to share my experience. My own particular vessel has been theatre – as an actor, writer, director, improviser and teacher. And I’ve also found great joy in clay and paint, with pencils and cameras, with drums and guitars.

In the three hours we’ll spend together, we’ll overturn the post-industrial rule that only “professional” artists are entitled to express their creativity. In the safety of each others’ positive regards, we’ll learn how to make a place in which we can play with movement, voice, language, silence, space, shape and imagination. Through these elements, I’ll introduce you to some ways of touching your own creative energy that I’ve found to be central to my work.

I hope that you'll leave with new seeds planted and a lot of curiosity about what blossoms they'll become.
